COMMERCIAL BRICK RESTORATION

We just uncovered a piece of Ardmore’s history! This old ghost sign was once a thriving business in Ardmore but the sign had been painted over many years ago. Once we started washing the paint off we started to see that we were uncovering the old brickwork and could see the old sign but at the time we couldn’t make out what it said. As we progressed it was soon that we could see that piece of history coming back! It reads Pruitt Produce Co. Now the home of Cafe Alley who serves up some of the best food in Ardmore. Hopefully to continue serving the residents and visitors of Downtown Main St for many years!!
We will be completely restoring the brickwork on the exterior of Cafe Alley!! We will first be pressure washing all the paint off. We will then restore all the mortar joints to match the historic mortar from 100 years ago. Last we will completely seal the exterior wall with a high grade masonry water repellent to help this building live on for many more years!!
