Tuckpointing all deteriorated mortar joints is essential in retaining the structural integrity of your masonry work or structure. Repairing the mortar joints and cracks in stone masonry is referred to as re-pointing, or tuck-pointing. An unrepaired joint or crack in brick or stone can lead to more severe problems down the line.
